You might have seen us share that Barry’s feature Francone Bespoke Taps products in the changing rooms of their London studios. But you might not know everything there is to know about our relationship over the years.
The story goes back to late 2015. Having only recently founded Barry’s in London, Sandy Macaskill had spotted a brass hook design in the shape of a strongman, but the design has been discontinued. The obvious synergy with his brand’s image meant that he has his heart set on the design but didn’t know where to find a something similar.
Francone Bespoke Taps was still in it’s very early stages so Paolo was selling a basic range of products through an eBay shop. Luckily, Sandy stumbled on said shop while searching online and reached out to see if it would be possible to replicate the strongman design. Of course, Paolo had one of his workshops work their magic (we still do custom orders if you find yourself in a similar situation) and not long after, Sandy was so pleased with how the hooks turned out, he made orders for his personal home and that of his brother and co-founder.
Barry’s continued to choose Bespoke Taps to fit out their changing rooms and the strongman hook design has become a signature of the brand.
In mid-2022, Barry’s launched their ninth studio in Flannels in Liverpool and once again chosen Bespoke Taps to furnish the changing rooms. We supply their signature strongman hooks in both changing rooms as well as the luxurious showers (we all know there’s nothing nicer after a heavy workout).
We’re thrilled to be able to continue to work with the Barry’s team on giving an elite changing room experience to their clients while the company goes from strength to strength.
